This Ryokan is amazing! The service was incredible, the food was incredible, the room and view were incredible. The beds were comfortable and you could choose a pillow type. Sanda provided easy-to-understand Japanese instructions. We got Este services and massages, both were great. The dinner and breakfast were amazing and worth the charge. We had the private hot spring in our room which was easy to use and beautiful. Oh and there was a brief taiko demonstration that was really, really good! There's a combini on-site, so don't bring in outside food or drinks. You won't need them anyway!

I liked the comfort, the super friendly staff and the great food. We went for the kaiseki in a private room as we had a guest visiting Japan for the first time, and they couldn't believe the food quality and the service. The food was delicious and the lady who served us was very friendly, in particular with our kids. I don't think that the staff can speak English but that's not an issue in our case. We took a Japanese room, which was very spacious, comfortable and clean. the onsen was also very nice. I would absolutely go back to that hotel again.

Breakfast at the location was fantastic - Very well done and a definite highlight of the property. The staff did an excellent job ensuring a wide variety of food was available to meet all breakfast desires. We stayed multiple nights and the dinner menu noticeably changed and was different from the other guests that were on their first night's meal. We also had a chance to sample the local specialty of the Kofu region - Houtou udon - without leaving the hotel.

Room: Huge for a couple. Private onsen is always flowing, very calming, enjoyed the mini waterfall. Breakfast: Plenty of food, but limited halal options. Default to bread, rice, salmon, mackerel, egg, the usual. Dine at your discretion. Dinner: Took the half board kaiseki course. Arranged in advance, was served seafood delicacies like lobsters, abalone. Chefs cooked some right at the table. Excellent!

The hotel had a lot of great things - it had spa, onsen, great outfits provided, a very good souvenir shop and an amazing drum performance in the evening! The room was quite large for Japanese standarts! It had an autentic Japanese vibe, I would recommend this for a laid back day after lots of walking and sightseeing.
